1. What this service does

PrivacySignalMonitor provides technical monitoring of visible privacy signals on websites, including privacy page visibility, cookie banner signals, selected same-domain pages, visible cookies after page load, third-party hosts, detected vendor signals, scan history, and scan-to-scan changes.

The service is not a consent management platform, not a legal service, and not a compliance certification tool.

2. Information we collect

We collect account information such as your email address, workspace details, authentication/session data, subscription status, and support communications.

When you use the product, we store monitored website URLs, scan requests, scan reports, visible technical evidence found during scans, report history, and operational metadata needed to provide the service.

3. Payment and email processors

Payments and subscription management are handled by Stripe. Transactional emails, such as password resets and report emails, are sent through Postmark. These providers process data needed to deliver billing and email functionality.

4. How we use information

We use information to operate the product, authenticate users, run scans, save reports, monitor subscription state, send transactional emails, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve service reliability.

5. What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your scan reports to provide legal conclusions. We do not represent scan results as proof of legal compliance.

6. Data retention

We retain account, billing, scan, and report data while your account is active and as needed for operational, security, billing, and legal recordkeeping purposes. You can contact support to request account or data deletion where applicable.
