Security overview

Security and data handling for technical website monitoring.

PrivacySignalMonitor is designed for recurring technical monitoring of visible website privacy signals. This page explains the product boundary, data handled, and operational safeguards in plain language.

Technical monitoring only. Not a CMP, not legal advice, and not a compliance certification tool.

Limited product scope

PrivacySignalMonitor monitors visible website privacy signals, selected same-domain pages, visible cookies after page load, detected vendors, hosts, and scan-to-scan changes. It does not manage consent, store consent logs, or provide legal compliance certification.

Account and workspace access

Users access the product through authenticated accounts. Workspace data is intended to remain separated by account and workspace context.

Operational scan data

The product stores scan reports, monitored website records, visible technical signals, report history, and related metadata needed to provide recurring monitoring.

Transport security

Public product traffic is served over HTTPS. The production application runs behind NGINX with standard security headers configured at the edge.

Backups and recovery

Operational backups should be maintained for production data. Restoration procedures are reviewed as part of operational maintenance.

Support path

Security or data handling questions can be sent to help@privacysignalmonitor.com. Reports are reviewed manually.
